- research on the efficacy of yoga therapy for people with cancer
- discussion between speakers and audience

Biomimicry: Design of a Wellness Clinic
Presentation time: Ten to thirty minutes.
Presentation details: The presentation reviews the following:
- The need for better design of clinics for health and wellness.
- Exterior: examples of cutting-edge wellness clinics in international locations.
- Interior: green walls, interior design, furnishings.
- Technology: biomimicry-inspired developments in health technology.
Originally presented at the Biomimicry Jam at HiVE Vancouver, April 2011. Slides can be viewed on slideshare. The Biomimicry Jam was a Living Building Challenge presented in collaboration by the Vancouver Design Nerds, the Biomimicry Institute, Cascadia Regional Green Building Council, Emerging Green Builders, and HiVE Vancouver. Over 140 participants gathered in small groups to design wellness centres based on the inspiration of the biology of kelp.
