Neuroscience of the Built Environment

Being aware of our surroundings is the first step towards creating a healthy workplace, followed by knowledge of the environment and our responses to it. This interactive session focuses on:

  • the physics behind light and materials
  • the effects of architectural design and access to the outdoors on health
  • the neuroscience behind our physiology and creative thinking in the workplace

During the session, participants will have an opportunity to design a healthy workplace in which health and creativity can exist. Dialogue around individual designs will be encourage, to generate new ideas about how to work around obstacles to wellness in the workplace.
